Equipment for Loan

The equipment below is property of the Astronomical Society of Greenbelt. Dues-paying members of the Society are eligible to check out the equipment for personal use. The loan period is six months, after which you may renew the loan, providing no one else is waiting for it. A deposit in the form of a check is required for some of the items. The check will be returned to you when you return the equipment.

Free Equipment

The equipment below has been given to the Society by members who no longer need it. It is available to anyone who meets the criteria. Some members specify conditions for distribution, such as “free to ASG members” or “free to anyone.”

Books and Magazines

The Society Library

These books are available for loan to Society members. Some may have been recently borrowed and are not due back yet, in which case you can request to be put on a reservation list. The borrower will be notified that someone is waiting. You may borrow the books for six months, after which you will be asked to renew the loan.
