Webb Space Telescope First Images Celebration

The Astronomical Society of Greenbelt has been chosen as a community partner of NASA to celebrate the release of the first scientific images from the James Webb Space Telescope, which were revealed on July 12. Our event on July 23 will include activities for people of all ages:
- A short talk about the Webb Telescope mission and the instruments on board
- A video webinar featuring experts from NASA discussing the new images
- Educational activities for kids
- Free Webb Telescope and NASA swag for everyone
This event is free and open to all, whether members of the Astronomical Society of Greenbelt or not. Everyone is welcome to attend.
After this event, we invite everyone to gather at the Greenbelt Observatory for a star party.
