DESCRIPTION:Star Quest is an optical and radio astronomy event held at the great dark-sky site of the Green Bank Observatory. They have lectures and classes all four days of the event and keynote speakers each evening. You may register to stay at the bunkhouse or reserve a spot at the campground and observe right from your campsite. Showers and toilets are available by the campground\, and additional showers and toilets are located in the bunkhouse.  \nThis star party is not hosted by the Astronomical Society of Greenbelt. DESCRIPTION:The Astronomical Society of Greenbelt will host our annual Solstice Potluck Party on Thursday\, December 19\, 7:00 pm–9:00 pm\, at the Greenbelt Community Center. We hope everyone can attend in person since this is your chance to get together in real life and have conversations with other astronomers.   \nPlease bring food to share. Whip up your favorite special recipe or just buy something (no judgment). Whatever you want.  We don’t assign food\, but we currently have beverages\, cups\, plates\, napkins\, and cutlery\, plus one dessert and some ASG traditions like the fruit and cheese plate and the Doug Love Memorial Vegetarian Lasagna. Other than that\, this is a true potluck dinner.
