SUMMARY:Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:ASG member Joseph Grikis will give a presentation entitled “The Most Famous Astronomer You Never Knew” at 7:30 pm on January 30\, 2025\, at the Greenbelt Community Center. Without giving away the identity of the mystery scientist\, suffice it to say the individual was a highly talented and historically under-appreciated star gazer\, physicist\, and mathematician. \nThe event will be held at the Greenbelt Community Center. We encourage visitors to attend in person\, although we will also broadcast the talk on Zoom. Come back a few days before the meeting to see how to join the Zoom meeting. We begin the meetings at 7:00 pm with informal conversation. The presentation begins at 7:30 pm. \nThe presentations are free and open to the public. \nPer our insurance requirements\, anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
